Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) is conducting the formative and summative evaluation of the ASCEND project. EDC has extensive experience in educational research and program evaluation, including projects funded by the National Science Foundation aimed at broadening participation in STEM.

Ginger Fitzhugh, EDC Research Scientist, leads the research and evaluation team. Fitzhugh has more than 20 years of experience directing evaluation projects related to STEM equity (e.g., INCLUDES, ADVANCE), higher education initiatives, and educator professional development.
Carrie Liston
Senior Research Associate
Carrie Liston, Senior Research Associate, has spent more than 20 years doing program evaluation and research in education, including projects related to gender equity in STEM. She is dedicated to helping programs and organizations increase their impact through evaluation.
